The Yin Yang Skincare blog is not so much a diary of things we have done – but a wall on which we post our thoughts about caring for the skin, caring for ourselves, and about products that do what they are intended to do and yet are lovely to use. And it is not just our blog – it is a community blog. If you identify with our values and ideas then you are immediately a member of our “community”. But who are we?
The Yin Yang Community is centred on Katie May – the founder of Yin Yang, formulator of all Yin Yang products, lifelong horsewoman and herbalist. Katie lives on the Oxfordshire Gloucestershire borders surrounded by the herb gardens that inspire Yin Yang products. Way back at the beginning of the 1970’s Katie developed a skincare concept built around the pure power of plants. Green was just a colour then – not the mainstream ethic it is today – but Katie designed and supplied the first ethical skincare products in the UK. Yin Yang Skincare products were formulated to work with the skin’s unique bio-chemistry: no parabens; no petrochemicals; no harsh unnecessary chemical additives; just pure plant oils and proteins, spring water and minerals important for skin health. Nothing has changed! Today Katie has assembled a team of us who are also committed to producing lovely effective products that support the health of the skin. And that is what defines Yin Yang Skincare – it is health focused and holistic: beautiful skin is always healthy skin.
The Yin Yang blog is a site with interesting articles about skin, skincare, skin conditions, skincare products, women’s health, and the plants that are so important to keeping us and our skin healthy. And because so many of our users and visitors are women – we like to hear about and write about the inspiring things that so many of you have done.
Please browse around our blog, please suggest subjects that we should write about, post your comments and please let us know about inspiring women that you know about who we could add to our gallery [with their permission of course].
